august 2026 - ISSUE #337 - 28th Anniversary issue

Near three decades ago it was 1998, back then the Evo was H-D’s main powerplant, gas was just over $1 per gallon and everyone wore a doowrag under their brain bucket. Mark and Molly Infield saw an opportunity to provide the biker community with a better way to spread information and to record the history of motorcycling in the Carolinas. With the reassurance of a shooting star they embarked on the wild journey in the motorcycle media world and published the very first North Carolina Full Throttle Magazine in August of 1998. Back then, there were no digital cameras, dial up internet was a start up operation and we used the fax machine like it was going out of style, cause it was. They rode back and forth across the state on their motorcycles making friends, attending events, taking film photos and writing articles on legal pads for me to type. They pioneered the processes that it takes to put together a print magazine, processes that we may have adapted, but still use today. It took a ton of 14 hour days, miles, jokes, sweat, MGD and Rolling Rock beer, and trial and error that came down to the last minute on deadline day each month to publish what we still believe is the best regional motorcycle magazine. But their dedication and belief was that the motorcycle community was one of the best communities around. Today you are looking at the 28th Anniversary Issue, Issue #337, we still believe in the biker community, still have a lot of fun and every issue still comes down to the last minute on deadline day. Huge thanks to the bikers who read the 10,000 copies of the magazine each month, our Full Throttle Crew that keeps the content coming, Advertisers who work with us, but most of all, to Mark and Molly who made this vision a reality.

Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson is featured on this anniversary issue. Their commitment to the Raleigh area biker community and the racing is a legacy as well! GM Mark Hendrix has continued the racing spirit of the Raleigh dealership by joining the only Privateer race team in the King Of The Baggers league. The cool thing is everything learned on the track is passed down to the customers to improve your ride on the street! Check them out on cover story page or ride by and check them out in Raleigh.

Wherever you’re riding this month, take a Full Throttle Magazine along with ya. It’s always packed with what’s coming up and what’s been going on in the Carolinas.

We will see ya on down the road!
